Our third visit to NTNU in Gjovik, Norway transpired from the 16th to the 18th of December 2023. The central theme of this visit revolved around our training sessions focused on “AI and Robotics”. Notably, two representatives from I4byDesign Competence Center P.C. actively participated in these sessions.

The program mainly focused on the below subjects:

  • State-of-the-art robotic technologies,
  • Advanced software Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE) tools used in industry and
  • Educational approaches on how to embed these technologies in the SMEs.
Training in Robotics for Manufacturing

The training program covered a broad spectrum of complete automation in the industry. The key points include:

  • Enhancement of lean manufacturing through the utilization of IoT systems to improve the supply chain,
  • Design and implementation of a no-man production flow,
  • Take advantage of Artificial intelligence for making critical decisions and
  • Enhancing industrial design tools.

Additionally, the program included a representation of the above concepts in a real industrial environment. This aims to highlight potential challenges that may arise during implementation and provided strategies for overcoming these issues. Moreover, there was a rich collection of material, concentrated for further study, offering valuable insights into robotic automation. By the conclusion of the program, we had formed a comprehensive understanding of robotic automation in real industrial environments.
